Founder Coaching

Coaching for the founder the company needs next.

Founder coaching is not therapy and it is not cheerleading. It is structured, honest 1:1 work with someone who understands both the operating realities of a scaling company and the human being carrying it. I coach startup founders through the inflection points where hustle stops working and leadership has to start.

The work

The three transitions every founder has to make.

01

From doing the work to building the machine

The skills that won you product-market fit — speed, personal output, proximity to every decision — become the bottleneck at thirty people. Founder coaching works on the operating system underneath: how you decide, delegate, and spend attention.

02

From founder to CEO

Nobody promotes you into the CEO seat; you have to grow into it while doing the job. That means building an executive team that disagrees well, installing an operating rhythm, and learning to lead people who are better at their function than you are.

03

From adrenaline to durability

A startup runs on its founder's nervous system longer than anyone admits. Decision fatigue, poor sleep, and unmanaged physiology quietly degrade judgment exactly when the stakes get largest. This is where my clinical background is unusual among founder coaches.

What a founder coaching engagement includes

  • Bi-weekly 1:1 sessions, unlimited async access between them
  • A written leadership operating plan, reviewed and revised together
  • Decision review on the live, high-stakes calls in front of you
  • Executive-health protocols where physiology is the constraint

Why me

Most founder coaches come from either business or psychology. I work at the intersection: executive coaching for the operating problems, and a clinical background — through my health practice at drjasonrannfeldt.com — for the physiological ones. Founders rarely have one kind of problem. The coaching shouldn't pretend they do.

Engagements run six months minimum. The first consultation is a working session: bring the hardest problem on your desk and we will work on it. If coaching is not the right lever, I will tell you.

Is founder coaching the right lever?

One conversation will answer that honestly. Book a consultation and bring the decision you've been circling.
